EMDR Intensives: Heal Trauma in Days, Not Years

Imagine walking into Friday feeling burdened by past trauma and walking out Sunday with genuine peace and resolution. This is the reality of EMDR intensive therapy.

Unlike traditional weekly EMDR sessions that take months to process a single trauma, intensives allow us to work through multiple traumatic memories comprehensively over a concentrated period. During our 90-minute planning session, we'll thoroughly explore your trauma history and current symptoms. You'll receive a customized intensive workbook designed specifically for your needs, with essential coping skills to practice before we begin.

The intensive typically spans 2-3 days, with extended sessions maintaining therapeutic momentum. Instead of losing progress between weekly appointments, we stay engaged in the healing process, moving through traumatic memories while you're in a resourced, supported state. This concentrated approach means experiencing significant relief without putting your life on hold for months.

OCD Intensives: Break Free from the Obsessive Cycle

Living with OCD while maintaining a successful career feels impossible. Intrusive thoughts interrupt important meetings. Compulsions eat away at productivity. You might spend hours daily managing symptoms others don't even know exist.

OCD intensives provide concentrated treatment using evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) combined with exposure and response prevention. Rather than spending months building up to challenging exposures in weekly therapy, intensives create momentum quickly. We practice real-world exposures, process arising anxiety, and build new response patterns within a supportive, extended therapeutic container.

During your intensive, we'll start with the Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS) assessment to understand your specific symptoms. I create a customized treatment plan addressing your unique obsession and compulsion patterns. We'll work together intensively to challenge OCD's rules, developing new ways of responding to intrusive thoughts without compulsions.

The concentrated nature means seeing significant symptom reduction in days rather than months, returning you to living life instead of being controlled by OCD.
